Cat Minogue Psychotherapy & Counselling
A warm welcome

People come to psychotherapy for many different
reasons. You might be feeling anxious, low, stuck or lost. You may be navigating grief, relationship difficulties, identity questions, trauma, life transitions or burnout. Sometimes there isn’t a clear “problem”, just a sense that something doesn’t feel right, or a desire to understand yourself more deeply.
I offer a confidential space where you can talk openly about your thoughts, feelings and experiences. A space to slow down, reflect, and make sense of what’s
happening in your life, especially if things feel
overwhelming, confusing or painful. You do not have to be on your own.
Much like a tree needs the right environment to grow, I believe people need the right conditions to feel safe, accepted, and able to be vulnerable. From there, change and growth can begin to unfold.

About me
Hi, I’m Cat.
I offer a warm, safe space where you can begin to explore your world. I trust in your capacity to know what you need, and support you in connecting with your own sense of direction and inner abilities. We can work at a pace that feels right for you, without any pressure to rush the process.
I don’t prescribe how to ‘feel better’, but I may offer gentle reflections and questions to help you develop a closer understanding of yourself and your needs.
I believe that we are all perfectly imperfect, and that this is part of what makes us human. At times, our experiences can lead us to feel that certain parts of ourselves are less acceptable. In our work together, you are invited to bring your whole self.
I am passionate about supporting people who may feel marginalised,
unheard, or excluded, and I aim to offer a space that is inclusive, respectful, and welcoming of difference.

Person-Centred and Experiential Approach
I am a Person-Centred and Experiential psychotherapist.
In my work, I don’t focus on diagnosing or fixing. I trust that, given the right space and relationship, you have the capacity to grow and to come to a deeper understanding of yourself.
I aim to offer a space where you can feel genuinely understood, accepted, and met without judgement.
At times, through our experiences, we can come to feel that certain parts of ourselves are not acceptable, and begin to lose a sense of who we are. In offering the right
conditions, I aim to support you in gently reconnecting with parts of yourself that may have been hidden, forgotten or left behind.
Rather than giving advice or direction, I work alongside you. When you feel truly heard, it can become easier to make sense of your experience and begin to connect with your own sense of direction. In this way, therapy can feel empowering, not because
something is given to you, but because it helps you reconnect with what is already there.
This way of working can be especially meaningful if you’re looking for a space to be yourself, to explore your thoughts and feelings more deeply, and to begin building a more trusting relationship with yourself.
I aim to offer a safe and respectful relationship where you can explore who you are, at your own pace, and move towards a way of living that feels more authentic to you.
Qualifications and Experience
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma (Level 6) in Person-Centred and Experiential Psychotherapy, and I am currently in the final stage of completing a Master’s degree (MSc) in the same field at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute, where I have been training over the past four years.
I am a UKCP-registered trainee Person-Centred and Experiential psychotherapist, with over 300 hours of clinical experience. I also have a degree in Psychology and Person-Centred Counselling.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 20 years working within the education system, including in leadership and advisory roles. Throughout this time, my focus was always on understanding the individual, recognising and valuing who they are, and supporting them in a way that felt accepting and responsive to their needs.

Where sessions take place
I offer both in-person and online therapy sessions.
In-person sessions take place in Quorn, in a peaceful setting at One Ash, surrounded by two acres of land. This environment allows for a gentle transition into and out of sessions, offering space to pause and reconnect before returning to daily life. There is also parking available on site. In-person sessions will be available from July.
I also offer online sessions for clients across the UK.
All sessions are 50 minutes and charged at £50.

Contact me
I offer a free 15-minute phone conversation so we can briefly explore what has brought you to therapy and what you might be hoping for from the process. This initial conversation is an opportunity for you to ask any questions and get a sense of how we might work together, so that you can consider whether it feels like the right fit for you. We can then arrange an initial meeting.
